Time & Location
30 June 2026, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
GHD Auditorium, University of Queensland, St Lucia
About the event
De-risking and delivering mass timber across government and major projects
Queensland is entering a defining phase of infrastructure delivery, with major investment flowing into Brisbane 2032 venues and a broader pipeline of government-led civic, transport and social infrastructure.
While mass timber is now well understood across design and construction, many projects still stall at the same point—client confidence and delivery certainty. This forum moves beyond general education to focus on what actually determines whether a timber project proceeds.
Through a series of real project case studies presented by delivery teams, this event examines the decisions that mattered in practice:
Why timber was pursued
What nearly stopped it
How cost, risk and procurement challenges were resolved
What clients ultimately needed to proceed
