About the event
Earn CPD points with this practical seminar covering compliance, performance, moisiture risk and future framing standards.
Designed for builders, designers, engineers and certifiers working on real projects.
Lightweight timber framing still carries most of Australia's housing load. But the rules around it are shifting. Standards are changing. Certification is tighter. Moisture, condensation and non-conforming products are under sharper scrutiny. And builders are working with fewer people on site.
This in-person seminar is about dealing with those realities properly.
WoodSolutions presents Design, Engineer & Build: Achieving Compliance and Performance in Lightweight Timber Frames
is a technical seminar, hosted by Timber Queensland, for builders, architects, designers, engineers and certifiers who want clarity. Not theory. Not sales talk. Clear explanations of what complies, what performs, and what causes problems when it is missed.
The program moves from connectors and framing limits through to moisture design in humid climates, systemised timber construction, workforce impacts and LVL compliance. It also looks ahead. The Future Framing Initiative is already reshaping how lightweight timber frames will be designed, documented and approved. This session explains what is coming and what to do about it now.
Speakers are working directly with the standards, the projects and the compliance checks discussed. The focus stays on how things actually get built, inspected and signed off across residential and multi-residential projects in Queensland.
OPEN TO DESIGN & BUILD PROFESSIONALS
If you are responsible for design decisions, engineering, approvals or construction outcomes, this session is built for you.
