CLT DESIGN CASE STUDY

Designing the Library at the Dock

In 2010 Kerry & Lindsay Clare became the first husband-and-wife team to win the prestigious Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal, joining the likes of Joern Utzon, Harry Seidler and Glenn Murcutt.  They will discuss design and construction aspects of the new Library at the Dock building. This CLT and glulam structure located in Melbourne was built by Lend Lease.

Engineering and design for Te Wharehou O Tuhoe

Te Wharehou O Tuhoe is a NZ tribal headquarters constructed utilising virtually all available engineered wood product technology and some created especially for this project.  The structure was built to meet the Living Building Challenge - the most strict sustainability criterion that can be applied to buildings.
